The following are partial details, knowledge and skill sets are being continuously updated.
M3 has worked with clients in the following industries and fields (partial list):
Al Doman graduated with a Bachelor's of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1981. After graduation he worked as a Process Engineer with Fiberglas Canada Inc. (now Owens Corning Canada), a Canada-wide manufacturing company. Towards the end of this posting he implemented a computer network and custom software at the BC plant.
Al founded M3 Enterprises Inc. in May 1989, immediately after leaving Fiberglas. Now focused on the computer industry, he has operated the company ever since.
Al is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of British Columbia, Canada.
How did the company name come about? It was founded towards the end of second millennium, so "Millennium 3" was forward thinking at the time :) However, a printer acquaintance pointed out that to put "Millennium 3 Enterprises Incorporated" on one line on a business card would require a ridiculously small font. So, the name was shortened to its current form. Besides, no-one can remember that "millennium" has two "n"s.
Now that we're in the 21st century, M3 Enterprises Inc. has come into its own :)
Please note that M3 has no connection to either 3M Corporation or to the BMW M3 automobile, which was not introduced to North America until 1995.
